Facebook are working on taking down a scam that’s targeting some well-known brands, including ours. This scam offers large discounts (for example 80%) and creates official-looking websites in an effort to scam would-be customers. If you think you've been scammed:
- Contact your bank or payment provider immediately to stop the payment going through or request a chargeback.
- Be mindful of other scams - if you entered personal details in the process (email address, phone number, etc):
- Watch out for suspicious emails or messages.
- If you receive any suspicious emails or messages, do not click on a link or open any attachments.
- Protect your data - consider changing internet passwords or security codes to be extra careful.
- Report the scam:
- On the platform you accessed it, e.g. Facebook.
- Government websites that monitor scams, including:
