What are the in‑store repair weekends?
We’re offering free minor repairs on Kathmandu clothing at our Tower Junction store in Christchurch throughout March 2026. Our minor repairs are carried out by skilled technicians to a high standard.
Dates:
- 7 & 8 March
- 14 & 15 March
- 21 & 22 March
- 28 & 29 March
Time: 11am - 3pm each session
Is there a cost for repairs?
No, minor repairs are free during these times
What are minor repairs?
Minor repairs include:
Stitching & seams:
- Re‑stitching small loose or popped seams
- Securing loose thread ends
- Minor topstitch reinforcement
Fastenings & trims:
- Re‑sewing buttons, snaps, or press studs
- Re‑attaching drawcord ends or stoppers
- Fixing loose labels or care tags
- Re‑attaching small trim details
Zippers:
- Replacing a zip slider (if teeth and tape are intact)
- Adjusting or tightening a loose slider
- Re‑securing top or bottom stops
- Re‑stitching zip tape seams
- Replacing a missing zip tooth
Lining repairs:
- Repairing small tears in the lining
- Re‑stitching opened lining seams
- Re‑tacking linings at cuffs or hems
Hems, cuffs & edges:
- Re‑stitching partially undone hems
- Fixing minor cuff stitching
- Securing loose bindings or edge facings
What about other repairs that are not minor repairs?
If your repair requires more extensive work than our minor repairs, our team can talk you through our paid repair process.
How many garments can I bring in for minor repairs?
One garment per person for the duration of the promotion
How long will my repair take?
Minor repairs typically take around 10-20 minutes. You’re welcome to leave your garment and return to the store later the same day. If we run short on time, we may take away to repair and contact you to collect at a later date.
How will I know when my repair is ready?
Our store team will contact you directly once your item is ready for collection.
Can I drop my garment off and come back later?
Yes.
Can I drop off my garment at a different time?
No, repairs can only be dropped off during the designated March weekend sessions.
